The United States is a wonderfully vast country and it’s a great country in which to live. With all of the different cities out there, it can be quite difficult to choose just one that really outshines the others. However, two Missouri cities were recently named as two of the best cities to live in the U.S.: Kansas City and Lee’s Summit. Here’s why.
Often being confused as a city in the state of Kansas, Kansas City is home to a lively entertainment scene and a low cost of living in the state of Missouri. It is also seen as a fairly homey destination where visitors are often surprised at how much there is to do in this city.
From gambling on the riverboat casinos to going to see live jazz music to enjoying delicious barbecue, there is always something going on in Kansas City.
Combined with reasonable Midwest prices, Kansas City is a great place to work, play, and live.
Lee’s Summit is more of a hidden gem than Kansas City, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t still a great place to live. Although it has more of a suburban feel than Kansas City, the statistics show that Lee’s Summit is a great place to live.
For example, the median income here is $78,186, and the average value of a home is $188,200. It’s a great place to earn a living and raise a family!

Most fans will remember the Rally Mantis. This bizarre bug was found crawling in the team’s dugout, where it was captured by the team. This good luck charm worked well, helping the team go 5-1 until its untimely death. While the players seemed to shed some tears for the Rally Mantis, they’ve managed to keep some of its luck.
Nothing is more memorable than the Morales grand slam. With the bases loaded, Kendrys Morales nailed a pitch from the Blue Jays pitcher Brett Cecil. The ball traveled a whopping 456 feet, the longest distance for a grand slam in the majors for over three years.
