If you’ve ever embarked on a road trip with young children – or even a short trip to the grocery store – you know just how antsy, bored, and whiny they can quickly get.
And while it’s not difficult to pass them a handheld gaming device, Honda is making driving-time more educational (and silent!) for young passengers with the Honda Road Readers Program, which offers free kids’ audiobooks to Honda drivers.
With this program, kids will simply be able to tune in to Road Readers with their devices, checking out a library of more than 100 options that spans in content from books such as “The Hunger Games” to classics such as “Peter Pan.”
And while the program is aimed at children aged 5-16, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with adult passengers tuning in to the latest young adult or a literary classic. The Honda Road Readers program is sure to come in handy this holiday season, as families embark on trips across the country.

We’ve been waiting for it with bated breath, and now it’s finally going into production: the all-new 2016 Honda Civic Sedan, completely redesigned from the ground up to deliver even more features, capability, and style than ever before.
It represents the model’s 10th generation, and will be produced at Honda’s Greensburg plant in Indiana. The automaker invested nearly $97 million in the facility to update the manufacturing process and technology and ensure the 2016 Honda Civic will be built with the tools and excellence that the design behind it deserves.
The new Civic certainly looks sportier than it ever has, and is loaded with advanced features like automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, and a digital speedometer. The interior quality is beyond anything that has come before, the chassis handles better, and the turbocharged engine is simultaneously more responsive and economical.
We can’t wait to show it off to you at Lee’s Summit Honda!

The CR-V continues to be one of America’s top-selling crossovers, thanks to its high-value price tag, practical design, and long list of amenities. Now, Honda has introduced its 2016 CR-V lineup, and falling just above the base-level LX trim, the new Special Edition (SE) 2016 Honda CR-V offers even more high-end amenities at a low cost.
The new Special Edition 2016 Honda CR-V features 17-inch alloy wheels with an exclusive two tone finish, a security system, and premium second-row and rear privacy glass. Costing just $800 more than the entry-level LX, the SE trim offers added peace-of-mind and style at an impressive value.
Positioned between the LX and EX trims, the SE trim is ideal for shoppers looking for something more than the entry-level model, but without paying for all the extras found in the mid-level EX trim. Available in both FWD and AWD, the 2016 Honda CR-V offers something for everyone.
There really seems to be an app for everything. In the case of driving, the choices are seemingly endless, but which ones are really worth the download? We’ve come up with our three favorite apps for making your commute easier.
By far one of the most popular driving apps, Waze takes the top spot in our list of best apps for driving. Waze is a community of drivers that consistently input data points to offer the most up-to-date, accurate, and reliable map, traffic, construction, gas, and detour information to drivers on the go. Just keep the app open while you drive to get real-time updates.
Gas Buddy. Gas Buddy is another app the coordinates a community of users to provide up-to-date gas price information for gas stations near you, or wherever you are going. Earn points and rewards by reporting gas prices and help keep the app accurate and reliable!
Plug Share. Gas guzzlers aren’t the only ones benefiting from apps. Electric car drivers will find that the Plug Share app is helpful for finding charging stations worldwide. More than 40,000 charging stations are mapped, provide availability information, and allow you to pay for your charge through the app.
Are your needs different? Here are other apps worth checking out!
