10th Generation Honda Accord Leaves V6 in the Dust

As engine technology improves, cars can do a lot more with a lot less. That is why the 10th generation Honda Accord is saying goodbye to the V6 engine in favor of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. While some shoppers may be disappointed in this change, all indications show that this will be a thrilling update.

The base engine, though, will be a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder, which is the same engine found in the Civic and CR-V. It will be paired with a continuously variable transmission.

As for the 2.0T engine, it could very well be the most powerful one in its class. In addition, this engine will come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can also opt for a six-speed manual with either engine.

Along with a new engine lineup, the 2018 Accord will have sleek new styling. While the official design hasn’t been released, we have seen quite a few spy photos of camouflaged prototypes out on the road for testing. Based on the details we can see, the Accord will have more dynamic styling that will help it stand out more from the crowd.

The redesigned 2018 Honda Accord will be coming to Lee’s Summit Honda later this year.

Civic- Honda Civics are known for getting great gas mileage. So if you’re looking to save some cash at the pump, you should definitely consider a used Honda Civic.

Accord- The Honda Accord gives you options. It comes in coupe or sedan, 4 or 6 cylinder engines, and has many trim levels for you to choose from. Since it has a higher new price tag, a used Accord might be better for your budget.

CR-V-  For the SUV side of things, the Honda CR-V is a staple in that market. It’s reliable, sporty, and has lots of room in the trunk for all your stuff. You can still get some great technology (Bluetooth, Keyless entry, and backup camera) in older models, like the 2013 or 2014 models.

Pilot- The next step up from the CR-V is the Honda Pilot. The Pilot is a great fit for someone who doesn’t want to be known as the “Minivan Mom” but still needs truck space and lots of seats for the kids.
