The Odyssey and Accord are both award-winning Honda vehicles, and they’re receiving recognition from a wide range of venues and organizations. Good Housekeeping magazine recently gave these vehicles the 2018 “Best New Car” awards, each of which took first place in sedan and minivan segments, respectively.
According to Honda, the Good Housekeeping award works in tandem with Car and Driver in order to rate the top vehicles in the industry, which only adds to the prestige of these awards. Good Housekeeping is looking for new vehicles that have the best value, safety, reliability, handling, interior design, comfort, and technology. The judges for the award also look for “NVH,” or noise, vibration, and harshness. In short, Good Housekeeping is looking for an all-around, real-world experience.
The magazine was particularly impressed with the infotainment on the Accord, stating, “A winner of the second year, this car had a roomy interior, a large trunk and above-average standard safety features that our experts appreciated…You won’t find a better ride at this price.”
The Odyssey also has some smart design features that set it apart, as well as a roomy interior and tons of safety features. If you’re looking for a minivan that’s safe and reliable, the Odyssey is for you.

When Motor City makes a proclamation about a motor vehicle, consumers should take note. This year, the 2018 Honda Accord has been named the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year.
Despite the fact that many new car buyers are opting for crossovers, SUVs, and trucks over traditional cars, the Honda Accord has maintained strong sales numbers for over 40 years thanks to its well-known reliability, fresh styling, and overall high quality. This tenth generation of the Honda Accord model features a sleeker exterior aesthetic, a more spacious cabin for front and rear seats, the biggest trunk in its segment. Plus, it comes with a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, a first for the Accord model line.
The winner of the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year award is determined after automotive experts thoroughly assess mainstream vehicles in seven categories: value, innovation, design, technology, safety, capability, and efficiency. The judging process is rigorous, but that did not stop the Honda Accord from scoring the top spot.
