Getting out and having fun is a must-do, but sometimes it can cost a pretty penny. Thankfully, Lee’s Summit Honda has compiled a list of free things to do right here in Kansas City!

1827 Log Courthouse

This building was originally Jackson County’s first government building, built in 1827. It was, at one time, the only courthouse west of St. Charles, Missouri. So if you want to experience some history, visit here!

Boulevard Brewing Company

Here you can partake in a 40-minute tour of the brewery that gives tours of the factory where you can find out about the brewing process and get to sample some brews.

Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center

This cultural center features exhibits, displays, performances, and more, all centered around the cultural development brought to Kansas City by influential African-Americans.

Children’s Peace Pavilion

This is a hands-on museum for kids that teaches them the concepts of peace. So not only are they having fun, but they’re learning, too, thanks to 25 different activities.

The City Market

This is the largest farmer’s market in the region, with an attendance of about 600,000 people every year. It’s not only a market, though, there’s also gift shops and restaurants.

Have Fun with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Voice text, get GPS, and jam to your playlists!

When you’re behind the wheel, you don’t only want access to entertainment, you want access to information, too. Now, you can have it all thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto! This innovative system allows you to mirror your Apple or Android smartphone for easy, hands-free use while driving.

Apple CarPlay

With Apple CarPlay, you’ll have an automatic copilot. CarPlay makes it easy to do the things you want to do without taking your eyes off the road or your hands off the steering wheel. You can connect to your music, access your navigation, and even make texts or calls all thanks to Apple CarPlay.

CarPlay uses Siri voice control to allow you to access anything you want to. You can use your voice or your car’s controls on your steering wheel to play music or make phone calls.

Android Auto

So what about those Android users? You’re covered, too! Since most cars come compatible with just Apple CarPlay, the solution was to plug in your Android device to access Android Auto. But now, an update to Android Auto means that it can be as simple as placing your phone into a dash-mounted cradle to minimize your distraction!

Get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in a new 2016 or 2017 Honda today at Lee’s Summit Honda.
