Next-Gen Honda Ridgeline Named Truck of the Year

The next-gen Honda Ridgeline was introduced with an all-new design for the 2017 model year last summer, and was met with wild success when consumers were drawn to its more American-inspired appearance. The panel of 60 judges at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show recognized this incredible success and innovation by sizing up the Ridgeline among a variety of other competitors and naming it the 2017 Truck of the Year.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was designed from the ground-up to appeal to the U.S. market, and was even produced at the brand’s factory located in Talladega County in Alabama. When the Ridgeline took home its major win in Detroit, the executive vice president of Honda’s American division credited the team behind the truck for understanding and catering to the needs of U.S. buyers.

With a more traditional pickup look and features like a 400-watt power inverter and an audio system built into the truck bed, the Honda Ridgeline was designed to appeal to tailgaters at football games.

The next-generation Honda Ridgeline was the result of incredible creativity and innovation on behalf of Honda’s design team, and their hard work paid off when it was rewarded with the recent Truck of the Year award in Detroit.
